CROPTON HIGH STREET SE 7489-7589 (east side) 13/26 Hydrant II - Hydrant. 1899. By J Blakeborough and Sons of Brighouse. Cast iron. Fluted cylinder on octagonal base, approximately 1.15 metres high. Fluted domed cap with rolled edge, surmounted by finial. Installed when the village water supply was introduced by Firth of Scarborough, on behalf of the squire, John Gill.
