SK 23 SW PARISH OF HILTON MAIN STREET 3/34 (South Side) The Old Talbot Inn II
Public house. C16 with considerable C19 and C20 alterations. Cruck timber frame encased in rendered brick, and plain tile roof with sawtooth eaves band. Two storeys, three bays. North elevation has plain doorcase with bracketed porch roof over C20 door to west, and beyond to west a C20 2-light window. To east of the doorcase, are one 3-light and one 2-light C20 windows with another C20 window beyond in former doorcase and two small C20 windows. Above, two plain sashes and a central C20 window in C19 surround. Interior has two large cruck trusses and the base of a third. It also has low, heavily beamed, ceilings, large inglenook fireplaces, internal timber partitions on the first floor and its original winder staircase.
