GV II
Public house. Early C19, with C20 alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond, with flared headers, slate roof, brick ridge and end stacks. Double-depth plan. 3-storey, 3-window range. C20 doors to left and right of centre with overlights, alternating with 3 canted bay windows, all under continuous straight hood supported to left and right of centre by Tuscan pillars of square section and with moulded cornice. 12-pane sash windows to 1st floor, 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor, all with rendered lintels incised with keyblock patterns. Rendered to ground floor and left gable end and with rendered pilaster strips either end. The New Inn forms part of the same terrace as Nos 12-17 Bridge St (qv).
