Garden building. 1901-5. Part of Japanese garden laid out by Prof. Suzuki according to designs by Mr Inaka for R B and A E Page Croft. Timber structure raised on stone pads with boarded back and hipped roof with gablets. On a mound the 'Small House' was built to represent a Shinto shrine - The Fox Shrine 'Azuma- Inari' it was originally thatched. A small rectangular single- storey building with front and ends closed by sliding half-glazed wooden doors. Glazing has margin liqhts. Cane interior ceiling and boarded floor.
