GV II
Terraced houses. 1830-5. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, stucco, roofs of Welsh and artificial slate. Symmetrical terrace with projecting end bays, nos 7-11 and 23-27. Four storeys over basement, two windows each except no 7 which has three. Basement and ground floor stuccoed, the ground floor decorated with chamfered rustication. Steps up to round-arched entrance, cabled and fluted pilasters carrying cornice and fanlight with decorative glazing, panelled doors of original design, that to no ll a replacement design. Ground-floor windows round-arched and set in a recessed round-arched panel of plain stucco; sashes with pointed-arched glazing bars and margin lights; broad storey band. Upper windows flat-arched, those to the first floor having moulded stucco architraves with cornices and individual iron balconies; 6/6 sashes. Second-floor windows on nos 7-11 and 23-27 have moulded stucco architraves, those to nos 13-21 have no architraves and gauged brick heads; 6/6 sashes. Cornice and blocking course to nos 7-11 and 23-27, parapet to nos 13-21; dormers in mansard roof to all houses; stacks to party wall. Cast-iron railings to steps and area, and basement overthrow to no. 21.
