House in row, with shop. Late C18 or early C19. Flemish bond brickwork, tile roof. 3 storeys and basement, 2-windowed. Tripartite sashes, with central 4-pane, under V-joint lintels with central key. C19 shop front with pilasters and consoles, central recessed glazed door under transom-light; in the stall risers are ventilation grilles for the basement. To the left, in a heavy frame, an entry to Fryzer's Court. A deep C20 fascia covers the full width. A high coped parapet over a moulded stone cornice raised at the centre to an open pediment over a blocked oculus with 4 keystones. Behind this are 2 gabled roofs to a central valley. A steep-pitched lower rear wing has a horizontally boarded gable, presumed on timber-framing. This facade is very similar to Nos 9/10 (qv) adjoining, but there is a continuous straight joint in the brickwork between the properties. INTERIOR not inspected.
