ST3308 CHURCH STREET 756-1/4/16 (West side) 29/07/76 Group of 3 chest tombs approx 6m north-west of north aisle of Parish Church (Formerly Listed as: CHURCH STREET (West side) Tomb chests and War Memorial in the Parish Church churchyard)
GV II
Group of 3 chest tombs. Mid/late C18. Limestone. Each tomb has moulded plinth and cornice to hipped top. Fielded inscribed panels and corner pilasters. Tomb to south commemorates: Augustus Wheadon, D.1838; tomb to centre commemorates: Augustine Wheadon and family, D.1795; tomb to north commemorates William Soper and his wife Ann, D.1781 and 1769.
