Houses. Mid C19. Cement; hipped Welsh slate roof; 2 rendered ridge stacks and stacks to rear. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range: 6/6 sashes; deep eaves; pilasters. 2 central sets of margin-glazed French windows with overlights, under verandah with cast-iron supports, linking two canted bays with margin-glazed casements, and crenellated parapets; grooved stucco. Recessed lean-to wings, with single 6/6 sashes over part-glazed panelled doors and ornamented fanlights, in plain doorcases with moulded hoods. Left returned side has further roughcast wing, with 6/6 sash; roughcast and rendered stack. Right returned side: two 6/6 sashes. INTERIOR: No.78: dogleg staircase with turned balusters; winder stair to attic. 1st floor: 4-panel doors. Ground floor: ceiling cornices and rose; panelled shutters, and architraves, to windows; mutilated cast-iron fireplace; 4-panel doors; panelling. No.80: dogleg staircase with stick balusters and turned newels. 1st floor: two C19 fireplaces; two 4-panel doors; architraves; five 6-panel doors. Ground floor: ceiling coving; skirting; alcoves with cupboards; architrave to C20 double doors; 6-panel door; cupboard with shelved alcove. Tiled floor and 4-panel door to garage. Plank door to cellar. Cellar: stone-lined; brick vault; wine bins; plank door with light, to exterior; chamfered ceiling beams.
