2 houses. Mid C17 with C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble; artificial slate roof with brick left end stack. 2 gables to front; through-passage plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Three C20 three-light timber casements under timber lintels to first floor; two C20 two-light timber casements under timber lintels in gables, that to left in blocked hoist opening. Two C20 three-light timber casements under timber lintels to ground floor; 2 doors to centre - No.27 to left is 9-pane glazed door, No.31 to right 4-panel. Rear wings have fragments of timber-framing. No.31 noted as having timber beam with broad chamfer and late C18 chimneypiece in ground floor front room; underwent considerable alterations l989.
