GV II
House, now guest house. Early C19. Incised stucco with simple
end pilasters on probable rubble, dry slate roof with 3 gabled
slate-hung roof dormers. Double-depth plan with central
entrance leading to stair hall. 2 storeys plus attic;
symmetrical 3-window front. Possibly original hornless sashes,
glazing bars removed, within simple architraves with shallow
elliptical heads. Central doorway with original moulded
pilastered doorcase with corner blocks and entablature with
paterae, Greek key and moulded cornice; panelled reveals and
original 6-panel door with flush bottom panels and
later-glazed top panels. Narrow projecting wing on the right.
INTERIOR: original staircase with later balustrade, original
plan with partitions but little architectural detail.
