GV II

House in row. C17. Painted rubble with chamfered oak lintels;
steep dry slate roof; large external front lateral stack and
rubble end stack on right. Single-depth plan plus later wing
at rear right. 2 storeys, 3-window range with 1st-floor
windows breaking eaves, under raking dormers. C20 windows and
door: 12-pane 2-light casements over 16-pane horned sashes and
slate hood over central doorway with part-glazed door. Rear
has one original 2-light oak mullioned window lighting
staircase. INTERIOR: 3 original fireplaces: the front
fireplace partly rebuilt C20, the one to right (now 1 room)
with corbelled oak lintel and similar fireplace to chamber
above; C19 ceiling joists and late C18 or early C19 pegged
roof structure.
