The Holyrood Wool Shop and No.60)

GV II

House, now shop. C16, remodelled and extended to rear in C17;
altered c1985. Roughcast, probably over limestone rubble slate
roof with crested ridge. L-plan with rear left wing. 2
storeys, 4-window range. Late C19 three- and 4-light windows
to first floor. 1980s doors and windows to ground floor. Late
C19 moulded fascia to guttering. INTERIOR: noted as having
stop-chamfered beams throughout, timber-framed partition,
4-centred arched fireplace to first floor, trenched purlin
roof to rear wing and 4 jointed crucks to front range which
continues into Chapter Cottage (qv) to make a C16 building of
5 bays.
