GV II

2 town houses. Late C16 or C17 with c1800 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame with brick and coursed rubble infill, the left half, No.32, with brick front with buff headers, 1st floor partly rebuilt in C20; renewed tile roof with 2 brick stacks to front of ridge. 2 storeys; 4-window range. No.32 has top modillioned cornice. No.32 has central segmental-headed entrance with plank door; entrance to No.33 has C20 plank door. Windows to ground floor have C20 small-paned casements, one to left of centre with segmental head; 1st floor has 2 windows with C20 casements to No.32; 2 gabled dormers with 2-light leaded casements with iron opening casements to No.33. No.33 has full-height posts with middle rail and tension braces, panel to ground floor left end with rubble infill. Rear has catslide outshut with later alterations. Right return brick with 1st-floor window. Probably originally outbuildings to No.28 Wood Street (qv). (Forrest H E: The Old Houses of Stratford-upon-Avon: London: 1925-: 147-8).
