GV II

House in row. Early/mid C17. Rendered timber-framing, tile roof, brick stack. Side-entry right-angle plan. A narrow frontage with 3 stages of jettying, and 2 narrow gables to the street. 4 storeys, 2-windowed. All 4-pane sashes to wood cills. The underbuilt ground floor has a C20 shop front, with to the left a door to the throughway. The first- and second-floor jetties are on small curved end brackets, with a full-width plain trim to the bressumer face, and a similar trim to the slightly jettied gables. There is a brick stack at the rear eaves, beyond which is a long deep gabled wing. About half way along the throughway, which is floored with stone flags, is an elliptical arch on brackets. INTERIOR not inspected.
