Plinth c 2.2m square with a central small area of paving to each face set in to rock-faced Roach stone which carries moulded pedestal rising to c 2.8m. A band of vertical flutes separates the ovolo plus cavetto shaft base from a broad scotia and torus above the principal inscription zone which is set just below eye level. A wreath with central blank circular face is carved to each face between the flutes and the inscriptions; further inscription panels 'hang' over the rock-faced plinth centrally. All names are in fine incised Roman lettering to a common size, and the whole monument, set dramatically at the top of the northern scarp slope is of quiet and dignified character.
