SO5139NW EAST STREET 683-1/7/152 (South side) 23/11/87 Nos.99 AND 100


House, now shops. Early C19 front to C17 core. Painted brick; Welsh slate roof; brick end stack. 3 storeys and cellar; 3-window range: 6/6 sashes under segmental arches; two 3/6 sashes over. To left, early C20 shop front, with moulded glazing shafts, and half-glazed door with overlight to right, under C20 restored fascia-board. To right (No.100), early C20 half-glazed 2-panel door and blocked overlight, with grooved pilasters, and C20 shopwindow. Left returned side: gable displays C19 refronting and raising over mutilated C17 truss. Weatherboarding to rear, to timber-frame. INTERIOR: No.99: stick baluster staircase. 1st floor: C19 fireplace; 4-panel door. Cellar: brick vaulted. No.100: winder staircase with stick balusters. 2nd floor: 4-panel door; C19 fireplace; wall cupboard; 2-panel door.
