Houses, now shops. Early C17 with late C19 front. Painted brick; pantiles to front and rear pitch; slate to front roof gables. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range: 4-light sashes with stone sills and lintels; dentilled quoins, with beading; moulded wood cornice to eaves. 2 brick fronted gable dormers with ornamental barge-boards over C20, 2/2 sashes. 2 late C19 shop fronts, with central part-glazed panelled doors, flanked by plate-glass windows with canted returns, under moulded fascia-boards and hoods, with enriched stop-consoles on moulded pilasters. Left returned side: weatherboarded gable with oak purlins protruding. INTERIOR: No.43: C19 winder staircase with stick balusters from 1st floor. 2nd floor: V strut truss, chamfered purlins visible; two C19, 1 C18 plank doors. 1st floor: C17 stop moulded ceiling frame; architraves to windows. Ground floor: C17 stop moulded ceiling frame. Cellar: inaccessible. (RCHME).
