GV II
Foundry, now converted into flats. c1800, with C19 additions and C20 alterations. Brick with hipped slate roof. 3-storeyed, L-plan enclosing a courtyard. Elevation to Catherine Street a 5-window range with renewed 25-pane pivoting windows in original openings with stone sills and flat-arched heads. Shop front towards right with Greek key decoration incised on pilasters. Lower 2-storeyed range (probably a somewhat later addition) to right, with segmentally-arched wide entry into courtyard, and 4 renewed windows with flat-arched stone heads and sills. 10-window range to Pierce Street similarly detailed. Lower 9-window range beyond largely rebuilt but comprising 2 wide parallel gables with clerestory lights to roof.
