GV II
4 houses. Late C18 or early C19, incorporating earlier fabric. Painted render over cob or rubblestone, slate and concrete tile roofs, brick and rubblestone stacks to some party walls. Double-depth plans. 2 storeys; each house is symmetrical 2-window range except No.16 which is 3-window range and No.22 to the left which is one-window range. First-floor windows are at eaves level. Nos 16 and 18 have mostly C19 three-light casement windows, some with small panes; planked doors with hoods, that to No.16 has a 2-light window above and a crested slate roof which extends over the right range of No.18. No.18 has C20 wooden shutters to the first floor and a rubblestone stack to the right of the door where the pitch of the roof to the left of it is shallower. No.20 has C19 three-light windows with small panes to the first floor and C20 door and windows to the ground floor. No.22 has a C20 door to the right and C20 windows. Both the latter are under a continuous concrete tile roof with brick stacks to the gable ends. INTERIORS not inspected.
