GV I

Two graves. Pre-Conquest. cut into the sandstone rock close to St Patrick's Chapel (qv). One is child-sized. Both have socket-holes probably intended for timber crosses. An associated cemetery to the south of the chapel was excavated in the 1970s and bones were dated to the 10th and 11th centuries. Forms part of a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
