Terrace of 3 houses. c1840. Limestone ashlar, roof not visible. Double-depth plan. Greek Revival style. Each of 3 storeys; 2-window range. A temple front divided into 3 by broad pilasters to an overall pediment and parapet. Single-storey entrance porch on the right-hand end has an eared, battered architrave to a 6-panel door; C19 shop fronts with C20 glazing to the left-hand and middle houses. 6/6-pane sashes and a 5-pane semicircular-arched window in the tympanum. The right return has paired pilasters and a cornice with a full-height semicircular-arched recess containing a semicircular-arched 8/8-pane stair sash. No.147 has a 2-storey tripartite bow to the rear. INTERIOR: No.143 has a lateral dogleg winder stair with stick balusters, column newels, and a ramped rail with a wreathed end and a parquetry star.
