2/40 White House Cafe 30.11.66 G.V. II

House and lorry drivers' hostel, former farmhouse. Early C17 and early C18. Part timber framed with aherringbone king post in the left gable, refaced in the C18. White-washed coursed rubble and brick with projecting chamfered ashlar quoins. Pantile roof with stone coped right gable, single brick ridge stack and single right gable brick stack. Moulded wooden cornice, 2 storeys, 4 bays. Set on a plinth with 1st floor band. Doorway with part glazed door and bolection moulded ashlar surround with frieze and cornice. To the right is a single glazing bar sash, with 2 similar to the left and 3 on the 1st floor. To the rear is a white washed coursed rubble and brick outshut.
