Pair of attached houses. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar, roof not visible. Double-depth plan. Neoclassical style. 2 storeys, basement and attic; 4-window range. A symmetrical front in which the middle steps forward with large carved brackets to the sides of the central attic storey, giant Tuscan pilasters to the corners and centre, entablature, cornice and parapet. Banded ground floor to a plat band, and side entrance porches set back with pilasters to an entablature and parapet, and a panel over 6-panel doors. Central tripartite windows have brackets to cornices on the ground floor and architraves on the first floor, with 6/6-pane and flanking 2/2-pane sashes; architraves to outer 6/6 pane sashes, and 3/3-pane attic sashes in recessed surrounds. INTERIOR: porch with a semicircular-arched rear stained-glass window, entrance hall with a dogleg stair, turned balusters and a curtail, modillion cornices, 6-panel doors and panelled shutters.
