End of terrace house with later shop. C18 structure with later alterations. Rendered stone rubble with slate roof, hipped on corner, and dormers. Facades to Broad Street and Hierns Lane. 3 storeys and attic. 1 window to Broad Street, 2 windows to Hierns Lane. Broad Street with altered C19 shopfront with pilasters. 1st floor, hornless sash; 2nd floor, casement. Coved eaves cornice. Hierns Lane facade with 12-pane hornless sash to ground floor; 1st floor, a similar sash with casement to right; 2nd floor, a sliding casement and casement to right. INTERIOR not inspected. The Royal Britannia Hotel, Nos 3 & 4 and Nos 8-12 (consec) Broad Street (qv) form a group with Nos 1 & 2 The Strand (qv).
