GV II

Probably a house, now a shop. Late C18, with possible early origins. Limestone rubble, coursed to the rear wing, which has a plain-tile roof with stone slates to the lower courses; the main block has double-Roman concrete tiles. Ham Hill stone moulded eaves cornice to the front, and stepped coping to the right gable end. L-shape plan with rear right wing. 2 storeys; 3-window range. All the windows on the first-floor are C20 three-light casements under stone arches, though the central one is slightly narrower with a shallow segmental arch and keystone, possibly a former tripartite sash. The right return also has a C20 shopfront below a horizontal fixed 3-light window to the left and a small casement with one horizontal glazing bar to the right. To the right of that, in the rear wing, is a late C19 two-over-two pane sash to the first-floor, and to the far right, a c1800 6-panel door glazed to the top, set in a wooden doorcase with pilasters and a moulded cornice. INTERIOR not inspected.
