GV II

House. c1830. Stucco with plain Ham Hill stone dressings and pilasters to garden front (east), rendered street front (north), with double-pitch slate roof and rendered stacks to 4 gable ends. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range to garden front. Former doorway is blocked, under a round-arched 6/6-pane sash window with interlaced Gothic-style glazing bars, flanked by 8/8-pane sashes to both floors. Street front, gabled right return, has a central 6-panel door, glazed to the top, raised-and-fielded panels to centre and beaded ones to the base, set in a moulded architrave under a pediment supported by heavy consoles; above is a 6/6-pane sash with interlaced glazing bars. The rear, facing west, has a late C19 two/two-pane sash with coloured glass and decorative glazing to first floor, and a porch with margin-pane glazing to the ground-floor right. INTERIOR: is of 1830 character with elliptical arches to the main room to the left of the garden front, which also has a Ham Hill stone fireplace.
