ST4061 MAIN STREET, Heysham 939-1/7/14 (East side) No.22 including shop adjoining to south

GV II

House. C17, altered. Roughcast with concrete tile roof. One storey with attic. To the right is a rebated and chamfered fire window, with a sashed window to its left which has a plain stone surround. Above, under the eaves, is a small window with plain reveals. At the left is a doorway which has a chamfered surround of redressed moulded stones and an embattled lintel. The date '1629' is a mid-C20 addition. Chimney to right. The left-hand gable wall has a 3-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window lighting the attic. To the right is a shop which has a window with plain reveals and 2 shop openings, each with a doorway and shuttered window. Interior contains chamfered main beam supported at one end on a firehood bressumer, and a C18 shouldered stone fireplace with C20 infill.
