Detached villa on corner site. c1840. Stucco with steeply pitched and gabled slated roofs having tall hexangonal stacks. Gothick style. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Irregular fenestration. Main facade with projecting right-hand gabled bay. Central projecting, gabled entrance porch with castellated curtain wall at ground floor level to left; pointed arch doorway having panelled door with 2 slim glazed lancets to upper half. Casement windows, most with horizontal glazing and hoodmoulds; blind window to ground floor right-hand bay. Right-hand return to Granville Road has castellated parapet with central gable having a small 2-light pointed arch window beneath which at 1st floor level a projecting 2-faced oriel window with 4 panes to each face, traceried beneath the pointed roof and with 2 rectangular apron panels having cusped designs to each face above the stepped, pointed corbel. Flanking this at ground floor level, 2 canted bay windows in similar style. INTERIOR not inspected. Runnymede (qv), The Baths House (qv), the Entrance to tunnels, pool and beaches (qv), Nos 1-3 (consec) Bath Place (qv) and Nos 2 & 3 Wilder Road (qv) form a group.
