Swing bridge, quay walls and engine house. 1879. Iron, Pennant rubble with limestone dressings and slate hipped roofs. Riveted steel plates to the arched sides and deck, with 2 carriageways, stone abutments, capstans and bollards. (Lord J and Southam J: The Floating Harbour: Bristol: 1983-: 69).
