Terraced houses with shops to ground floor. c.1830 and probably late C19 or early C20. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, roof obscured by parapet. Three storeys, two windows each. Ground floor of no 3 has a late C19 or early C20 shop front under a fascia whose cornice continues the earlier mouldings from no 5. No 5 has the elements of an early C19 shop front: flat-arched entrance to either side, pilasters with incised panel and lozenge pattterns, overlights and panelled door to left; fascia curved at right-hand end with moulded cornice. Upper windows flat-arched with gauged brick heads, those to first floor set back under a round arch of gauged brick; 6/6 sashes to second floor of no 5; parapet. (Eric Willatts: Streets with a story.
