ATHERINGTON ATHERINGTON SS 52 SE 5/18 Cawsey headstone approximately - 3 metres south of south-west corner of west tower of Church of St Mary GV II

Headstone. 1835. Slate. Shaped head with elaborate decoration, scalloped motifs to the corners and star motif flanking central urn with verse "Reader Prepare to meet thy God" and "Behold the Lord Taketh away who can hinder him who whill say unto him what doest thou?" Inscription to Robert Cawsey (d.1835) and wife (d.1842).
