Row of shops with dwelling. c1865, minor alterations in C20. Stucco over brick, quoins. Plan: 3 shop fronts separated by entrances to restaurant in basement and flat in building above, (remaining shop fronts to west rebuilt late C20 and no longer of interest). Shop fronts Nos 73, 73A & 74 form ground floor of north-west return of No.18 Palmeira Square (qv), Nos 75 & 76 to the dwelling above. Shops: fluted pilasters with clustered brackets as capitals, semi-circular acroteria enclosing acanthus leaf design above entablature, balustrade over opening to No 73A; remains of cresting. Two single- and one- double-fronted shop front, the former with display windows in reveals, all upper lights with marginal glazing bars, No.74 with original glazing to shop windows, others with plate glass, glazed doors. C20 half-glazed double doors in similar style to No.73A entrance, panelled door to No.75, the dwelling above. Dwelling: 2 storeys, 1:1 bays, balustrade, moulded cornice with shaped brackets, quoins, cambered window openings, sash windows without glazing bars, right bay with 3-light windows, each with central round-headed light, many panes to upper lights, and square-headed outer lights.
