Detached house, former sawmill with accommodation. Late C18 or early C19. Rubble, limewashed to the upper floors, some slate hanging, slate roof, brick stacks. A long gabled range in 2 parts, single-room depth, set along and across steep ground slopes. The upper range, the former mill, has 3 storeys and basement, with 4 windows; at eaves level is a small square deep-set light, above three 2-light casements and a 4-pane sash, with four 2-light casements to the first floor, and 3 single lights and a 2-light at ground floor; to the right is a 4-panel door, set in deep reveals, and, far right, a wide plank door on 4 stone steps, set in reveals, as the property opens directly to the narrow road. There are gable stacks, and the W end is slate-hung. The lower range, to the right, was the former cottage to the mill. 2 storeys and basement, with 2 windows, all casements with horizontal bars; 3- and 2-light above 2-light. There is a gable stack to the right, raised in brick. INTERIOR: some light framed partitions, a wide-plank C19 door, and a steep ladder-stair to the top floor. The roof has rough collar trusses.
