Post Office and terrace of 4 houses. Dated and inscribed H.C.H. 1887 and 1893
(Howard). Dressed pink sandstone walls, under graduated greenslate roof with
left coped gable; ashlar chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays each, under common
roof, the Post Office in the left return wall. Plank doors in chamfered stone
surrounds. Sash windows, those on ground-floor 3-light, and 2-light above.
Post Office forms integral part of the terrace but gable datestone suggests it
was built first. C20 door and shop window under hoodmoulds. 2-light window
above under hoodmoulds. Chamfered angle has recessed wall-mounted letter box.
Listed for group value with No. 5.
