2. Early C19 rebuild of the former Hart Inn (in 1627). By 1848 known as the White Hart Inn and incorporated Nos 20 and 22. Three storeys. Double fronted with 3 windows. Hipped slate roof with coved eaves cornice. Stucco. Recessed sash windows with keys and bowed glazing to ground and 1st floors. Wooden doorcase with pilasters and short sections of frieze carrying projection cornice; doorway with rectangular, patterned, fanlight and panelled door. North return of 4 windows (some blocked) with sidelights and arched centre lights to 2nd floor (an old wood window frame, removed 1924-25, was said to be dated "1516"). Return with plain band at 1st floor level and cornice at 2nd floor level. At the rear a mid C19 (before 1849) extension with splayed bay windows.
