8/57 Stable block on north side of - Worden Hall
GV II
Stables, probably C18. Brick with slate roof. Roughly squared plan. Two storeys; stone quoins, band on east wall, which has wide doorways (now windows) at opposite ends of the ground floor, both with stone jambs and lintels. Loft door at 1st floor of north gable. Interior: ground floor has lateral partition wall incorporating grill and feeding troughs, and on the north side of this, stalls with original ramped iron and wooden partitions with railings and a gate. Chamfered beams, and fine kingpost roof trusses with 2 pairs of fishbone struts, 3 trenched purlins on the principals.
