Keate House SU 9677 NE 1/30 4.11.50. II
2. C18. Red brick. 2 storeys, 5 double-hung sashes in reveals with stone sills and rubbed flat arches, ground and 1st floor windows with shutters. Doorway up stone steps with original cast iron railings; surround of Roman Doric pilasters on plinths, entablature with dentil cornice and pediment, fine traceried fanlight, 6-panel door, 4 panels fielded, 2 flush. Ground floor right hand modern bay. Modillion brick cornice, old tile hipped roof. Early C18 wing of 3 storeys heightened to brick sashes with glazing bars, flat arches. Second floor central semi-circular arched niche. Third floor level entablature. Corbelled cornice to hipped roof with stone ball finial.
