Gate piers at West end of passage, (forming entrance to recreation ground) and old wall running South and West from these (forming part of boundary to recreation ground). TQ 3877 26/394

2. 2 early C19 square gate piers of multicoloured stock brick with stone coping. Stone pineapple finials added on concrete plinths. C17 brick wall, the part closest to the gates having sloped coping. Tapered buttresses at intervals. Old tombstones stand along inner sde of what was once the wall of a burial ground. NB see Bardsley Lane (qv).
