Details

WITNEY CHURCH GREEN SP3509S (East side) 11/23 Nos. 15A and 15B 06/02/70 (Formerly listed as No.15) GV II

House, now 2 dwellings. Early/mid C18, with mid C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble: concrete-rendered left side wall; gabled stone slate roof; end stacks, of stone to left and C20 brick to right. L-plan with rear left wing. 2 storeys: symmetrical 3-window range. Mid C19 four-panelled door with overlight and bracketed flat hood. Stone tympanum arches and timber lintels over mid C19 tripartite plate-glass sashes set in stone architraves. First-floor sashes set in stone architraves; moulded stone cornice. Rear: outshut with 3-light leaded casement adjoins C18 wing of similar materials: 2-storey-and-attic. 2-window range with C20 door and casements. Interior: two C18 panelled straight-cut doors. Early C19 quarter-turn stairs with stick balusters. Rear wing has chamfered beams, and fireplace with C18 chamfered stone architrave.
