Cottages, one at right angles to the other, C18 and C19 with c1970 rebuilt east bays. Coursed rubblestone with part timber framed, part brick rear wing (Ivy Cottage). Thatch roof. No.42 Street front of 3 bays and 2 storeys. 2 left hand bays c1970 in cottage style with 2 light casements, the upper ones eavesbreaking dormers. Right hand bay has 6-panel door and to right slate roofedcanted bay window. 2-light casement over. Brick repaired upper walling. Rear range (Ivy Cottage) of 3 bays and 2 storeys. Northbay part timber-framed with colourwashed brick and stud infill, thatch roof. 2 south bays colourwashed brick with slate roof. Stone rear or west wall. Casements, door and at left, garage doors.
