Wall. c.1800. Limestone rubble with stone dressings. Wall about 70 metres
long and 2 metres high in rubble with stone coping, at southern end has low
retaining wall attached with drain for lakes (q.v.); 3 round-headed ashlar
recesses set in wall at intervals, each with pilasters to sides, impost blocks
continued as band course around rear of recess and projecting keystone; wall
built in an arc between 2 outer recesses. (Sources: Verey, D. : Buildings of
