GV II
Circa 1630 house of 3 bays and 2 storeys, extended 1910 (rain-water heads). Rubble stone. Slated front pitch, rear and additions plain tiled. Coped gables and kneelers to east range of additions. End stacks and stack between RH bays with moulded caps and bases. Entry formerly in front of stack now small window. Modern entry between LH bays with re-used 4-centred arch and moulded jambs. Stone mullioned windows, 5 light to ground floor and 4-light to LH bay first floor. RH bays first floor 2 and 3-light with transoms, later C17. Drip-moulds. Later ranges similar with ironstone dressings. Interior: original panelling and chimney-pieces, in RH ground floor room dated 1631. In rear room chimney-piece with inlay-work to frieze. Centre room with stone moulded 4-centred arch and jambs to fireplace. RCHM II p302 Mon.2
