Pair of attached cottages. Circa early to mid C19. Slate rubble. Slurried scantle
slate roof with gabled ends and lower eaves at the rear. Brick gable end stacks and
axial stack to right of centre, the left hand end stack and the axial stack are
rendered.
Plan: Pair of attached cottages. Double depth plan with 3 main rooms at the front
and doorways between and an integral outshut at the back probably containing shallow
service rooms. Situated at right angles to the road, the right hand cottage has a
doorway onto the road in the right side of the outshut.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south front. Small window openings with
slate sills, the larger ground floor windows and the 2 doorways have flat brick
arches. The first floor windows are C20 4-pane sashes, the ground floor are late
C20 windows with top-opening lights. The 2 doorways to right and left of centre have
C20 plank glazed doors and gabled slated canopies. The right hand end facing the
road has small C20 casements on the ground and first floors and a C20 glazed door to
the right.
