House. Early C18 with later additions and alterations, mainly of mid-
to late C19. Red brick; hipped plain tile roof partly hidden by coped
parapet ramped up to corners. 3 storeys with stepped cornice and corner
pilasters; 5-window front, glazing bar sashes with original thick glazing
bars and gauged heads; reduced proportions and horizontal sliding sashes
to top storey. Central entrance; fluted pilastered doorcase with dentilled
capitals and dosserets supporting open segmental pediment, panelled
reveals; 8-panel door with semi-circular 7-barred fanlight flush with
front surface of doorcase. Integral end stacks. Mid-C19 gabled additions
to rear. Interior: inspection not possible at time of resurvey (January
1986) but likely to be of interest. B.O.E., p.175.
