GV II
Fish cellars converted to house. Circa early C19. Stone rubble, partly slate hung
with rag slates. Stone rubble end stacks and 2 rear lateral stacks clad in late C20
in slate stone.
Plan: Courtyard plan; front range of single depth plan, originally with wide opening
in front centre, through to inner courtyard. To rear right and left are 2 wings,
open fronted to the inner yard which has a stone rubble wall to the rear , enclosing
the fourth side of the yard. Converted to a house in the circa mid C20.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 5 window front with wide central blocked opening. Two
C20 windows at centre with LUCRI DULCIS ODOR (profit smells sweet) inscribed across
the lintel above. C20 3-light casements to right and left and five C20 windows on
first floor. External steps up to loft on right hand end.
Interior: Courtyard to rear has been resurfaced and the drainage channels have been
filled in.
