3.3.52 II
House, C16 altered, close studded timber framing with brick and plastered infill. Stone plinth. Tile roof, Irregular chimneys including one to right hand of north east section with four rectangular shafts set cruciform on base. 2 storeys and attic. North West front has tall gable to left with corner braces and plastered infill and 2 bays of casement windows. Centre part 2 irregular bays, the right hand ground floor obscured by chimney stack arched over to form porch to door in angle. Projecting slightly lower gabled wing to right hand, stone ground floor, upper part timber framed with plaster infill, one upper casement, one casement to left on ground floor and door to right hand with small bridge over moat. South west front stone. North East front jettied. North west dated 1661, inscribed on stone near doorway 'T.G.1661'. Interior : 2 C16 fireplaces with 4 centred stone arches, moulded jambs. RCHM II 222. MON 4
