Details
BUCKLEBURY SU 57 SE 6/11 Old Hawkridge House - II House, C16, late C17 with C20 additions and refacing. Timber framed with tension braces and brick nogging, later brick refacing to east and tile hung gable end to west. Old tile roof,south side: hipped to left with central panelled ridge stack and eye brow dormer to right with casement, north side: gabled cross wing projecting to right with braced collar exposed in gable end and stack to right, central gabled timber framed stair tower with leaded casement in gable end, catslide to left with gable and casement. L-plan. Two C17 framed bays with small central bay around stack, C16 bay cross wing to west. 2 storeys and attic. South front: brick facing to left with one C19 casement on each floor. Small C20 central first floor leaded casement flanked by 3-light leaded casements; central ground floor french casements flanked by 3-light leaded casement to left and 4-light leaded casement to right. C19 conservatory projecting in centre. Interior not inspected.
