House, now Post Office. c,1750, with C20 internal alterations. Limestone ashlar;
gabled stone-coped stone slate roof with concrete tiles and artificial stone
slates to rear; moulded stone ashlar rear lateral stacks. Double-depth plan. Mid
Georgian style. 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Centre bays are
pedimented, with lunette in tympanum. Mid C19 plate-glass sashes to all windows.
Venwtian window above Venetian doorway with C20 door. Raised beaded architraves
with triple keyblocks to windows. Dentilled cornice beneath pediment and
parapet. Two hipped roof dormers. Similar rear right wing, of one bay, has
similar architraves to 2 tripartite sashes. Interior: first floor not inspected.
