Details
BRAYBROOKE GRIFFIN ROAD SP 78 SE (east side) 2/5 No 31 (Bleak House) II Farmhouse, now a house. Mid C17, repaired 1741, with a late C19 addition. Coursed squared ironstone with limestone dressings and Welsh slate roof. Coped gables with kneelers, single central coped quadruple stone stack, 2 storeys plus attics, 3 bays, baffle entry plan. Stone mullioned casements throughout, with filleted mullions and flat hood moulds. South front has a central plain stone doorcase with C20 glazed door, flanked by single 3- light casements. Above, a small central casement and to its right a coped datestone inscribed 'Rep'd 1741 - J H'. Beyond, on each side, a 3- light casement. Each gable has a central 3-light casement on each floor and to the attics, a similar 2-light casement. The rear has, above, two 2-light casements. 2-storey C19 brick addition to the west. Interior not inspected.
