Details

LODDINGTON MAIN STREET SP 87 NW (north side) 5/38 No 8 (The Old 27/7/84 Manor House) II Farmhouse, now a house. Late C17, reroofed and with additions c 1950. Ironstone with concrete tile roof. 2 brick gable stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Single range with central gabled rear stair turret and lean-to C20 rear addition. Front has central mid C20 glazed wooden porch enclosing a roll moulded Tudor arched doorway. On either side, a C20 3-light casement with wooden lintel,in altered openings. Above, central 2-light casement flanked by single 3-light casements, all in altered openings. Rear has all C20 glazing, Interior has chamfered spine beam and fireplace bressummer in west end room. Oak winder stair with framed newel with a cupboard door formed from C17 panelling. 2 other doors made from similar panelling. 2 C18 2-panel doors. Small late C18 hob grate.
